Buying a decent boat costs around as much as a decent car. Then, there's the choices between docking the boat in its own berth at a harbour, or to sit it outside your driveway atop a trailer. The icing on the cake is the yearly protective paint and clean-up job required to prevent barnacles from encrusting the hull, and anti-rust paint.
However, there are people who have the resources and the desire to purchase and maintain a boat. For those people - Martin Box Marine is an excellent place to start. There are boats of all sizes and budgets, from small powerboats to luxury cruisers, catamarans and yachts. There are also berths for sale, and it is surprising how expensive it can be to rest your boat in a harbour.
Martin Box Marine has a good collection of boats for sale, for those wanting to invest in a boat.
