Horrible customer services. Clothes all over the floor. Why can't they get some of there employees to pick up the damn stuff. I saw two people walk by a shirt on the floor and neither of them picked it up.

I won't be coming here anymore. I rather drive my ass to downtown and get better services at a newer/ cleaner store

Be ware!!! Today my husband and I went shopping and got in line at H&M and waited maybe 20 minutes because of covid which is understandable but after going inside the store our 3 year old had to use the restroom, my husband took her while me and my 8 year old walked around the store and waited for them . On the way out my husband informed the h&m worker monitoring the people going in and out of the store that he will be right back and just taking our daughter the restroom and the h&m employee told him he would have to get in line again if he leaves. H&M doesn't have a restroom so he had no choice but to take her to the restroom. On the way back the employee told my husband to get in line which at this point was a longer line. My husband called me and said he was in line again . I asked to speak to a manager and Fabian came out from the back office and said those were the rules and that my husband will have to wait in line. I explained what happened and he said those were the rules which make no sense. I won't be shopping at any H&M again. If I could give zero stars I would but yelp won't allow it.

I happen to like this H&M. Its pretty big (one of those 2 story deals) and has a lot of specific items that many other locations dont get. I could be wrong but it seems like this is one of those H&Ms that get new shipments first. The sales associates (in my opinion) are never rude, always helpful and are somewhat efficient.

      So why the low score...

I dont think there's any way I can put this without sounding like a jerk or a possible racist. So here goes: Its the damn tourists. Citadel is a magnet for them. And while that is kind of a cool aspect of the newly renovated outlets, it doesnt come without its drawbacks.

What the hell am i talking about?

Line cutters. Cannot fucking stand them. I literally get road rage (without the whole car thing) when dealing with them. And I think Im like this now because of this damn store.

Now you may have just rolled your eyes at me and that's your right to do so, but imagine you've been patiently waiting with heavy arm loads of clothes in a long line like a decent human being. The second you get to the front, some bitches from a country notorious for queue jumping (*cough*CHINA) just rush right ahead of you to the cashier. You point out firmly and directly that you were there first and they cut in front of you, but the cashier just looks up at you and keeps ringing them up.

      (
You can literally stop reading here if you hate reading long, irrelevant reviews. You get my main point of what I, citizen random, think about coming to this store.. Now let me further my point.
      )

But lauren, you say, that was just that one time! OH NO IT FUCKING WASNT!

That was like a year ago. I had some pretty solid visits to this store.
Then 4 months ago Im back at this store trying to get new clothes because the drought we experienced rendered my winter clothes useless. Same scenario, wait in line, asian mother and daughter pull up to the side of the line. I, being the perfect and direct human being that I am, start getting all passive aggressive on them. I even use my body to try and block them. Luckily (for them, sadly) a new register on the edge where they were standing opened up and the guy took them immedietely. I shook my damn head and let it go.

Today I had to pick up some dresses for my sister. This was the ONLY H&M in so cal that had what she specifically wanted. I had an appointment later on, so my mentality was to grab them and leave. I find the dresses in the right size, and get to the winding cashier's line. I wait my turn and as Im getting to be first in line, these (again!) 2 chinese women straight off China Air stand next to me and slowly but surely force themselves in front of me. I say firmly but politely that the line is behind me. They ignore me and position themselves firmly in front of me. The younger one wont turn around and look at me but wont let me in front of her either. Her older companion is just giving me the stank eye from head to toe and mocking my attempts to claim my position in front of them. They even laughed as they were doing this to piss me off even further.

The last straw was that when they were being served, I tried to tell the lady ringing them up that they just cut me off. Her solution? Smile at me and continue with her business. So im pissed, its 1000 degrees outside and Im running late. Someone's about to get choked. But Im no fighter, so instead of choking, whilst they were taking their time leaving the register I was called to, i accidentally bumped hard into the younger girl and then inadvertently stomped on her toes. She gasped, I "apologized" and kept right on with my transaction. I left. The End.

Yeah, not my finest moment. I probably should've handled that better but fucking shit I couldnt take it any more. And yes Ill state the most relevant part of this review: the fucking employees should really do something about line cutters. I can shrug it off a few times but dont be a deliberate asshat about it. I dont give a shit how far you traveled to be here. If you hate line cutters and the general sound of ethnocentric tourists pissing on etiquette, dont come.

I haven't bought anything from H&M before and every time I visit an H&M I wonder why. A lot of their clothes are exactly the type of stuff I wear! I just never think about H&M until after I have already spent a lot of money at other places. This was my first time ever visiting the shops at Citadel, and I don't know if I will ever be back. We decided to come here because it has an American Apparel that's closer than any others to us. But this H&M seems to have a larger men's section than I am used to. Their cardigans seem to be really high quality (won't know until I buy one), but they come in a variety of colors and fabrics and look very nice. Definitely going to think of H&M when I want to go cardigan shopping for the Fall/Winter.

They also have a lot of pants/jeans that really caught my eye. They come in a variety of colors, both bright and basic and don't seem to be all that expensive! I'm always down for a bright colorful pair of jeans!

I also noticed that they have an entire section dedicated to basic Ts of all kinds (rounded, vneck, etc.) which is great! I like having a variety of vnecks to make a quick and cute outfit!

      The sweaters seemed nice too!

This location also has a very friendly staff, we were asked if we needed help like four times. Always nice to have a staff that's looking out for you!

Like I said, I don't know if I'll ever be back to this location, because there are many others that are closer to my house and school. But it's a really nice H&M.

I would give it a zero star if i could. The store is very messy, clothes all over the floor at 12:00 pm! The cashier (young lady with smokey eyes) has a very bad attitude, no "hello" not even "thank you for shopping with us", she was ringing the item as though we are bothering her. I mentioned to her that there was hangers on the floor on the kids section ( i have kids and knows that those hangers on the floor werent safe), she replied "yuppp" !!!
      Wow!!

I found the H & M store at The Citadel to be just as big as their store at South Coast Plaza with similar prices. This store is two stories tall with the Men's and Children's departments on the upper floor. The quality is still a hit or miss situation.

My boyfriend and I went shopping at this location on black Friday. Even though it was completely crowded, the store was clean and the staff was excellent. Cintia & Lily were helping in the dressing rooms and kept their smiles and upbeat spirits, even with some fairly rude customers. They honestly made our day that much better; we hope they get the recognition they truly deserve.

OMG! I spent 25 minutes waiting in line to try on a few shorts here, only to find out that the hold up was because housekeeping was closing each of the ONLY five rooms to wash the walls!! Wow really H&M? What a brilliant strategy so I asked the manager why why why on a crowded weekend would they do deep cleaning, she looked me straight into my bloodshot, weary eyes and said 'because they get dirty.' haha I wasn't aware that greasy mechanics and cement workers were popping into H&M to try on cardigans!!! Such inanity! Not insanity, inanity! stupid, vapid, absurd! I want the 25 minutes of my life back!

H&M, take some advice: deep clean your store AFTER closing hours, I am sure your customers wouldn't mind a few fingerprints on the walls! We are just trying on clothes, not buying the place, sheesh! One Very Turned Off Customer

Even though this location is at the Citadel Outlets, it's not a factory store. But their 2 floors are pretty big and you'll usually be able to find more sale items here than at the other locations.

The service here is pretty good. They have helped me locate clothes in my size at nearby H&Ms when it has ran out here. They have a large accessory section as well. Weekends (as with almost all of the other Citadel stores) are quite hectic so you're warned. Try coming on a weekday -- they're open until 9pm!

My only gripe would probably be that they need more fitting rooms as sometimes, the lines can get long.
