This little place is so unassuming and its facade and entrance gives no clues to the deliciousness that waits inside.

When you get here the first thing you need to do is order the meatballs with blue cheese sauce - trust me, you'll thank me later!

The menu here is French inspired and includes delicious dishes such as moules marinere, escargot and steak frites. My favourite way to do it is to grab a bunch of the smaller dishes and share them along with a main.

Everything here is so lovingly prepared using the freshest ingredients and local as much as possible also.

The staff here are fantastic, from recommending the best wine to complement your meal to having a chat over the bar when time allows. A great place for date night or a casual snack before a night out :)

A quaint little restaurant with a romantic feel.

They have bar snacks and a restaurant menu. Food itself was not as amazing as I had hoped. My starter of snails was good but my main of slow cooked lamb was way too salty.

Maybe I chose the wrong dish, I would probably venture here again to try another main... Maybe.

What can I say about this place other than that it is a must visit. Brought me straight back to France with the lovely atmosphere, great service and classic dishes like moules mariniere + frites (mussels with white wine sauce/chips) available we just had to check it out. We were lucky to have fluked the last table for two on a night where everywhere else was jam packed, had great waiters who were there each time the water glass was close to empty and who were genuinely interested in our dining experience throughout, were there whenever we needed, but were also not invasive!
Went for the duck rillete and the pork meatballs in blue cheese sauce for starters (starters begin from around $5-15) with a whole selection of other things catching my eye that I must try next time! And for mains I got the steak with fries as I was feeling like something really earthy and fulfilling. The food was absolutely stunning, paired with a lovely Spanish Alicante bouschet/mataro for drinks I couldn't have been more happy come the end of the service. For under $60 each my friend and I were able to indulge in starters, a main course (he got the pork belly-which was also amazing) and a great bottle of wine, and left with full stomachs and a willingness to tell whoever would listen about this place! Would be an awesome restaurant to bring a first date, super impressed, we will be back!

Loved it!! Atmosphere, great. Food, great. Staff, great. Err... Snails? Great! Tried them for the first time and I loved them. Everything about the meal was fantastic. Great place to go in Adelaide and there is some fairly stiff competition there. In my opinion, Delicatessen stands right up there!

What a fabulous night at Delicatessen Kitchen and Bar! We asked the waiter to feed us, for a fixed price, and that's what they did, and it was delicious. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, the soul food of France.

Went here this morning for brekkie. The wait for simple scrambled eggs & smashed avocado was long enough for the chef to prepare a 3 course meal. The eggs & avocado was average, but the rye toast was soggy by the time it reached the table. The avocado could have done with a slice of lime on the side.
I was charged for cheese even though i asked for none. Almost everything on the menu includes cheese and/or beans so an option to just gave eggs on toast is not available without having to pay for the whole catastrophe.
The pot of tea was a great size but the teabag used is only good for one cup, so i had 2 and a bit cups as weak as dishwater. Not the standard i was expecting thats for sure.
