Yelp Elite Event: Vapiano Garden City

I've been a bit slack getting to Yelp events of late, and this was a good one to get back into it.

A good mix of Yelpers and competition winners for tickets, there were lots of new people to meet.

The free first drink definitely helped the mixing I think!

It wasn't a traditional Vapianos experience, instead there were small share plates of nibblies, pastas and pizza. Admittedly if you like, that can be your Vapiano experience.

The food was delicious, and while I was a little peckish by the end, a slice of death by chocolate finished me off nicely.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the store manager giving pizza base tossing lessons to the willing was great entertainment. Highlight was the young lady who wore one on her face, and took it with good grace.

$14 French Martini upon arrival enjoyed with yummy antipasti followed by a couple of pizzas & pasta dishes - my fav the potato pizza! All made so easy by the wave of a card & the friendliest service! Give it a go - good for sharing also.

I love everything about Vapiano. Relaxed atmosphere, best customer service I have ever seen. Go at your own pace, dine for 30 minutes or three hours or more. Cannot fault the food and has the most amazing dessert ever! The perfect place to dine as a group too as the unique card system means everyone's bill is already split/separate as you go. Will keep coming back!

Wonderful night. A French Martini to start. Delicious pizza & pasta with a pizza demo thrown in. The antipasti platter was a great mix of meats cheeses tomatoes & breads. Scrumptious. We enjoyed the potato pizza & also the prosciutto one. Both light & very tasty. Pasta both tomato and carbonara were also enjoyable. A lovely meal and a great night. Thanks also to Lani & the other yelp people.
