The first time we went shopping here for a sofa was a very pleasant experience. And resulted in us finding a sofa and buying it.

Now we we looking for a small writing desk for the living room to put the computer on to feel space from the dining table, part of de cluttering the house.

Now mind you our tastes are very different and we are both very stubborn about what goes and what doesn't...

The first shop XXXLutz turned out to be a disaster.

At Who's Perfect we were pleasantly greeted by each shop assistant that we ran into. When we stopped and asked someone if they might have what we were looking for the guy stayed with us the entire time, ready to answer any question we might have.

The man was very knowledgable about the things sold in the store and knew exactly where to find what, and I can tell you that by itself is rather a big feat.

After we had narrowed our choices for a small writing desk down to two and needed some time to deliberate we were offered some drinks so we could take our time without the sales person hoovering around us.

To our surprise, and I'm sure this is not standard as it didn't happen the first time we visited the store, we were offered and Italian lunch! Penne Rigate bolognese, a soup, dessert and wine. We didn't ask what the occasion was but accepted gracefully.

Decision about the desk was made over a free in store lunch, next the chair that would go with it. And to the gentleman's great delight we then went on choosing a new bed.

It's rather a miracle that we manage to find a writing desk that both of us really like and is functional as we have rather different tastes and are fairly precise about most things. The bed was a bit more difficult but success there too.

Miracle also because as with all stores this store also has much more things that we don't like than things we do.

So as far as I'm concerned we start our next furniture expedition here.

Been there last weekend. Place looks weird almost like an abandoned self-storage for millionaires. Fancy furniture is scattered all over the place with no sense. Items advertised on their web page weren't available. Staff wasn't helpful either. At the end of the day I didn't feel like buying anything.
