I used to like this place but today during lunchtime I had the most unpleasant experience. The waitress admonished me for drinking the last sip of water from my bottle during lunch.
She went in for like a minute telling me how wrong is to drink stuff that were not bought from the restaurant. So, please, pink haired waitress, be more friendly to your customers, they are paying your salary and your tip.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Inbal C.Berlin, Germany26131 Dec 2016
Over priced meh.
Had 2 kinds of the paeya, duck and rabbit.
We actually received duck and the second was chicken but we didn't argue.
So, 5 people, 2 duck servings, 3 'rabbit' servings, 2 pitchers of red Sangria= 105 Euro.
For aprox. 6 table spoons of under cooked rice with a bit of veggies and even less meat (that was so tasteless I had to add salt to it)...totally over-priced.
If this was a 4 Eur lunch I would complain, but I find it surprising because the place is beautiful, large and impressive.
Ah, also the service sucks so bad... Rule #1 of being a waitress- Keep you head up and look at the tables, all the time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew W.Fort Worth, United States177449 Jan 2018
Sunday brunch, awesome food and friendly staff. My head was spinning from the options we had. I don't think even I could eat one of everything there was so much. The Spanish food, specially the sausages and the tortilla were scrumptious. At €24.99 each, it was certainly a finer brunch experience! We will be back!

I feel conflicted about this place...both the meat and the atmosphere were good. Everything else could have been improved. I got the medallion and ribs for two platter with my boyfriend. The meat was delicious, but the sides were stupid. For a plate that is meant for two and costs 42€ (which they say has 800g meat but really, 200g of that is just the giant rib bone), you would think they would add more than 6 halves of fingerling potatoes and some weird creamed cabbage thing that we ended up leaving on the table. If you were really hungry, I would just go ahead and order that dish for one person.
Back to everything else. Everyone else in our party (we were all together 6 people) ordered various steaks and voiced that they were just ok -- score for us for ordering what ended up being the best thing at the table muhaha ;). The waitress was not amazing and service was overall on the slower side. Lastly, the price just really did not correspond to the quality of the food or the level of service.
Overall, I don't regret going there, but I probably will just try a new restaurant the next time I'm craving a nice steak.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David W.Hildesheim, Germany3871226 May 2010Updated review
The Tauro is an odd creature, Berlin's idea of what Spanish cuisine is or should be like.
The architecture is admittedly impressive - in the same way as a restaurant at Disney World. Too big, too tourist-friendly to be interesting.
There are many "fish out of water" moments when the German service tries to create the impression you're dining at a hospitable Spanish restaurant. It's obvious that these people do not have any emotional (or other) connection to the place they are working at. They will hardly understand when you order those Spanish dishes by their original names.
We came here twice, and frankly, it's improbable we'll try our luck again.
Also bestellen wir brav anhand der deutschen Untertitel (man will ja keinen Ärger machen).
- Halil S.Istanbul, Turkey1272329 Dec 2015
Decoration is awesome, entry and welcoming is stunning and if you stop by there, you gotta see the second floor fancy seats. USA steaks are choice able but other ones are quite fatty. I wish their steak would taste delicious as they made decoration stunning. But if I would give a rate up to ten it's 7 for Taste.

Meh.
Sort of a ying-yang trade off at Tauro. They do have a nice outdoor space but at the loss of the Pfefferberg beer garden.
My food portions were small for the price and rather bland, nothing like that I've had in Madrid or Barcelona.
The service was ok except for a misstep: the waiter told me he needed my PIN to process my db card. He should know better, so I used my AMEX instead.
Not much "gusto" or "passion", more Ternero than Toro.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
