Nice restaurant with a large menu with Turkish offerings. I decided to order a few appetizers and I enjoyed them all. I particularly liked the Bucver! Many vegetarian and vegan options. I ate alone but noticed several large parties seated; good spot for a large group as well.

When employees work as a team, you get a much more satisfying customer experience. From the host, to our waiter, to the food runners, everything was on point, and that's why you'll see a lot of Brish natives, sharing their dinner, or having a couple's night out, sharing a bottle of wine, in a comfortable and unrushed atmosphere. You wouldn't think that these small seats were comfortable, but they are perfect. Nice and clean facilities. Oh, and the food was great. When you want a break from pub food during your visit. This is a great option. The food wasn't overly spicy, but has ample flavor. Quick on the bread refills, and the offering of the powdered sugar coated, Turkish candy, while walking out the door, was the perfect finish to my meal, and all the dessert that I needed. Really nice people, and very good food.

We like Tas.
The Sahan menu offers two courses for £11.95...bargain! Hummus or red lentil soup to start followed by chicken or lamb shish served with cous cous and tasty chilli sauce.
House wine is tasty and you can pick up some Turkish delight as you leave.
Especially good when you turn up on a Saturday at 4pm. Late lunch? Early dinner? Dunch? Linner? Nobody cares. Just good, simple food at a reasonable price.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Neelakantan N.Queen Anne, Seattle, United States1641696918 Aug 2015
We were 4 of us and it came to £120 for 3 courses and drinks which was quite expensive. I expected better starts and mains for that.
The baklava was amazing, the food itself was not as appealing. I would go there again just for those baklavas. Soft and not sticky.
We ordered a lamb shank, casseroles and a meat plate. We wanted to show ourselves that Turkish cuisine is not just grills of meat and kebabs. Unfortunately these guys seemed to do Tue meat grills the best.
So summary :
Kebabs and baklava. Soft heavenly baklava.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melizza R.Seattle, United States971573111 May 2011
I went to the deli during lunch time so it was a bit chaotic. But my friend I still managed to score a table. We ordered at the counter and I took the easy way out and chose a chicken wrap. I say the easy way because there were so many great looking choices and I really had no time to stand and think. But the wrap was awesome: full of hummus, chicken, and grilled veggies.
Next time I might try to beat the lunch crowd so I can take my time and try to pick out some of the other foods they had to offer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John G.Sodus, United States07015 Sept 2017
I know nothing about the actual cuisine this place claims to be but the food was excellent. Beautifully done eggplant in various ways, great service and an overall good experience.
I can't name the dishes but I would go back in a minute.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matt B.London, United Kingdom13353454 June 2016
I have been to Tas a few time over the years and I've felt each time that it offered good quality Turkish food. It is not too far down Borough High Street and it is large enough to have availability at busy times (we once rocked up on a Friday night). If you have a large group, I would recommend the meze. For the mains I would recommend the chicken shish kebab which is served with rice and salad. A good option for dinner in the Borough area.

A haven away from, but within walking distance of, the hustle and bustle of Borough Market, London Bridge.
I'm torn about my visit here, the soup was cold and I found it expensive for what we actually received. The service was also a little off in that they took a long time to bring our drinks and there was a bit of a crossover of orders, so we received glasses, and a jug of water and there seemed to be a general lack of communication between the waiters.
However the wine was good, it was a lovely restaurant, a nice setting that felt rather snug and we were lucky enough to come on a night when they were playing live music, so eating to these tranquil tones did make the experience more enjoyable.
Tas is a chain, and I've been to others within London, always with a good experience which seemed much better value for money. This was a much quieter branch, and whilst this is good for conversation, it lacked the warmth, I would come to expect.
Although the lentil soup was cold, it was nice and we ordered a few smaller meze plates. Maybe the key is to go for the main courses, but from experience I find these quite big and wanted a little selection to match our smaller than usual appetites.
Not unpleasant, but I won't be going out of my way to return in a hurry!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
