-THEY SKIMP ON THE MEAT!!... it's cut really small and is mixed in with noodles, you really don't get much meat at all. I've tried the ramen and the bibimbap... both with underwhelming amounts of meat and LOTS of ramen noodles or rice. Bummer :(
Maybe it was an off day, I'll try it again sometime and hopefully I can update this review with better results.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Angela G.Los Angeles, United States16124981 Mar 2013
What a delightful find!
I was craving fried rice and a friend of mine mentioned I could walk down to Shila from my office. I am so glad I did on this lovely LA day.
I ordered an iced Jasmine tea and their vegi fried rice. I was quite surprised with how refreshing my meal was. And it was served with several sides and a super spicy Thai broth. Along with my rice came a side of cabbage slaw, pickles and fresh fruit.
The slaw was the best I've ever had!
Everything was fresh, the place had a boutique feel and my waiter (upon my complimenting the meal and wonderful tea) sent me on my way with a free tea to go.
Bonus... My entire meal was only $13!! I will be back for sure.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ethan S.Los Angeles, United States21684818 Jan 2013
This place used to be great. They had different snacks every day, and it was a great bang for your buck. Inconsistant, but delicious.
They randomly closed for a while and now they've reopened with an entirely different menu mainly based on rice dishes. I haven't actually had any of the new foods, and I bet they're delicious as the food always is here... But they clearly are trying to figure out how to run the place properly and changes are common.
I went from eating here twice a week to not at all and I doubt I will ever eat there again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Melissa S.Marina del Rey, United States45672625 Sept 2012First to Review
Wow, For Reals. This place is awesome. Their food is super tasty, I had a Bulgogi Lunch box. It was $8 and had a ton of food. I got a kiwi strawberry smoothie that is literally fresh kiwi and strawberry. SOOOOO GOOD!!

I went on a disappointing adventure today to get Shila Korean Food, only to discover it no longer exists.

I was so excited that there was a Korean spot that opened up by my office! Ordered lunch for delivery, which was super quick. Food presentation and portion sizes were good, but the quality of meat (bulgogi) was very poor. No real flavor, chewy and fatty beyond consumption. Sadly I will not be ordering from Shila again.
