Food was good but service was horrible! Waited half an hour for a Italian and other people came orders and got food immediately. I could of at least got a refund, kids were asking what is he doing here( I'm waiting on my sub you are suppose to make)

Great home made subs on unbelievably fresh bread. You get a huge portion for a super price...this ain't the big city folks. I had a steak sub and it tasted like someone had grilled the steak out back, sliced it up and put it on the sandwich.

It's not a fancy place but the service is super friendly and fast. Definitely a good find if you're looking for eats in Urbana.

If you're in Ohio, you should be visiting this place.

Why would you go to Urbana? I asked myself the same thing. As far as I knew, there was nothing but a nice, little town.

I just had a cheeseburger that makes me want to return there, time and again. This little place with seating for 14 maybe has good food and good service. It's on the north side of town, not too far from the rotary/traffic circle/roundabout and railroad tracks.

I took a quick moment to look at the special, which had two Coney (Island Hot) Dogs or one Cheeseburger, Fries, and a fountain drink with refills. As much as I love Coney Dogs, I decided on the Cheeseburger. It had a lot of ingredients and the person taking care of my order made sure that I understood and got exactly what I wanted. At just under $6.00, it seemed a good deal.

I got my drink and sat down. Rather quickly, the orders for the people in front of me were being delivered to their table. That's surprising. It wasn't much longer and my order was delivered to my table.

The burger was completely wrapped and I figured at the price, it was a tiny thing and they didn't want me to see it while they were within reach. It was rather large, with a good bun. I'm not really great with bread but when you add better bread, I take notice. Also in the mix of ingredients were mushrooms, something you don't see often. In any case, this was not your average burger and was well worth the drive. The fries were crispy but not overcooked and still a bit soft on the inside.

If this place isn't known outside of Urbana, that's a shame because people should be visiting from everywhere. The downsides were that the tables were a bit messy, it was cold, probably because the grill was hot, and the rest room wasn't labeled.

      A very good sub shop.

It's not very big, but the food is great and the service is fantastic. We had Italian subs, and I got some chili. The subs were on very good bread, and the meat and veggies were excellent. They were big enough that I didn't have room for the chili, which was, frankly, only average. Good enough, but not very meaty, and not very flavorful.

I love Our Hero. The sub game is strong with this one! Their subs are fresh, tasty and huge! I'm a big fan of the Traditional with the works. The steak sub is also really good.

Being from Urbana, I never really came here much growing up. I'm kind of bitter with my folks about it, to be honest. Now, I look forward to getting it whenever I'm back in town! Bonus...you can run across the street to DQ for dessert!

Stopped there for the first time and had a Italian with the works. Loved it! The bread was fresh, light and just right amount of crunch. I'll be back to try some of the other sandwiches.

I absolutely love these subs!! The are the best I've ever had anywhere. My poor husband has to stop anytime he goes through Urbana on way home from work to pick me up one. I suggest to double toast it. I love it a little crunchier.

The Urbana our hero has the most welcoming staff! Hard to get past ordering the Italian sub, but the options are all good. I have a lot of out of Towner's who always want our hero when they come to visit

Although locations have changed several times over the years the quality remains the same. Good variety of sandwiches, soups and appetizers to chose from. Their website has not been updated in a very long time, however, and therefore can not be trusted. Take out or eat in. The dining room is small but comfortable. Parking is good.
