Love the atmosphere on the open-air terrace, but unfortunately it has not been open recently.

The range of cocktails is good, however, and prices affordable.

GREAT cocktails, the best I've had in Lancaster.
The seating is limited but it is only a small place.
The music varies, but tends towards dance/trance, so if that music isn't your cup-of-tea, then maybe you should just put up with it, due to the really nice cocktails, and nice bar staff!

Situated on Church Street Mint is not as cool as it would like to be. There are two sides to Mint - the open all day coffee serving side. And the wanna be hip wine/bottled beer side of an evening. Now my experience of Mint is generally from Saturday afternoon when my friends and I go there for coffee. Why we do I don't know because they serve the worst coffee in Lancaster. Fact. I think it has far more to do with the fact it is always empty and so we can hog the sofas. But if you're looking for a decent brew then don't go there. Srsly.
Of an evening it gets better. They have a not bad cocktail list and generally play some cool laid back tunes. They seem to change DJs as well. Look up in wonder at the elegant VIP section sniggering and wonder if you'll ever ascend those dizzy heights. Or just take advantage of the fact it has a decentish outside smoking space with a gorgeous view of the bus station.
To be fair, it's not a bad little bar. Not too towny, not too filled with teenage eejits and it doesn't take that long to get served.
Just don't order the coffee, ok?

THE place for cocktails in Lancaster, especially if you have a Mint card, offering discounts and two-for-ones. Although it attempts to have a vibey-club atmosphere, it is very small, with hardly any space to sit once a few groups of friends get in.


You do pay for the priveledge, though: it's a tad pricey.

If chic cocktails are your ting, drop in to Mint for a hint of the glam and quirky. Taste experiences range from bitter and leafy to the sensationally smooth - I urge you to try the mint choc chip cocktail, a drink worth planning a night around. In fairer climes, cool down with Mint as its whole front wall opens its patio doors onto the summer street. Fabulous.

One cocktail sums this place up Mint Choccy Chip!! Awesome. I have recommended this place to many of my freinds, it has a relaxed atmosphere, good music and you can actually talk to your mates without shouting. One of the classier bars in Lancaster without being too pretentious.

Amazing place. Great atmosphere, staff and drinks are to die for. Some people say expensive but they are not watered down and premium spirits. Get what you pay for I was taught and very true in this case. Give me their cocktails any day. Well worth checking out.

Easily the worst experience of any bar in my life!! The bar staff are incredibly rude and arrogant. What they seem to think is 'banter' comes across as sheer abuse and they make no effort what so ever to make your visit a pleasant experience. The male bar staff in particular seem to consider themselves godly in appearance and take great offense to any woman who does not fall at their feet. My particular experience involved the bartender not just humiliating me in front of the other staff but also getting other customers involved. I was out to celebrate but left feeling totally down trodden. My night was tainted and my purse was significantly lighter. I will NEVER return and have passed this advice onto all my friends.

Mint try's to bring a little bit of the northern quarter in Manchester to Lancaster and to be honest it just doesn't work. While the cocktails are alright the bar staff are rude and arrogant. The nightlife is ok for Lancaster standards and the music and DJs are changed quite regularly. All in all not bad but not great ether.

I LOVE MINT! my night is not complete unless i pop into mint for a cocktail or two. Although the venue is a small one, it's a great place to start your night. with discounted cocktails before 9pm and woo woo shots for just 50p!! you cna sit on the huge comfy leather sofas, or sit on one of the bar stools, for if you fancy a bit of fresh air, or your a smoker you can head out onto the heated patio area. All of the staff are really friendly and do their best to accomodate your needs. it has a very relaxed atmosphere you just sip your cocktails and chill. great choice of many different cocktails, and all the staff instantly know how to make your favourite drinks (no looking up the ingredients etc). i would recommend this place to everyone, the strawberry daquiris are too die for!
