I wish I had read reviews on this B and B post 2007 which is the last one I could see on the official website. Since then sadly Jennie has succumbed to ill health and as a result the B and B has surely suffered. We agreed an arrival time of 5 pm and our hostess arrived an hour later after a phone call from me . I m sorry Jennie. If you are going to be late phone me or arrange someone to greet us and show us to our room. I have never been told off quite so many times in the first hour of arrival . I was seeing my son off outside and Jennie told me very curtly that I should have locked the rather temperamental door behind me ! I was 10 feet away and going no where. , I must turn off the heater to the shower, We mustn't disturb the other guests when we came in late . She was patronising....' Of course you ll have two keys, you have two rooms ' None of the doors locked easily....change them Jennie ! Washing up was left In our kitchen " I ' m guessing you are only here for one night so you won't use the kitchen so just ignore it " OMG ! The bin hasn't been emptied. It was dirty, the curtain fell off the rail when I opened it in the morning, there was no curtain in the living room where my son had a mattress on the floor. No problem there except we had to make the bed up. All these delays meant we missed the family dinner we had come up for. The website actually looks rather nice....neat and tidy was not true ! The carpets were dirty and the house kitchen untidy. I was pretty cross by the morning but trying to eat my rather mediocre breakfast listening to my landlady's numerous health problems and then telling my hard working son that his prospects in marine conservation were bleak really pushed me over the edge. Sorry Jennie. Your time is up. Please Please give up the world of the B and B .
