A good choice for classy French food. On mange bien ici. I started with foie gras, that was served cold with a nice salad and some sea salt. The gambas au tandoori were big, and to soak the sauce there was a good couscous with nuts, but also a sweet potato puree. A small gratin with what tasted like crab was a nice extra. For dessert, the helpful waiter recommended the Trianon. This was like moelleux au chocolate but with some crunch at the bottom (hazelnuts?) and a fine wafer as the base. Between the good food, excellent service (the waiter gave advice on what to see in Nantes), and relaxed atmosphere, Le Transbordeur is an address you should check out in Nantes.
