DO NOT GET YOUR WATCH REPAIRED HERE
Tried to get a battery changed on a watch, and was told the watch needed a service for £200. Since it was still in warranty we declined and took the watch to an authorised repairer. The watch at that point had no battery in, and the coil was found to be broken, which can only happen by someone forcing the battery incorrectly. This cost us an extra £80 due to their incompetence and negligence. It was their mistake, but they tried to cover it up by requiring a £200 "service". They are incompetent and dishonest - had they owned up to the error we would have thought better of them.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 14 Aug 2014
DO NOT GET YOUR KEYS CUT HERE!
£19 to have two keys cut. I have one done this weekend for just £2.50. Unless you're in a desperate rush you can go anywhere else in this city and have it done for cheaper.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cliff Y.London, United Kingdom0111 Dec 2017
Brought in my grandfather's vintage Gucci watch to get the battery replaced. They sent the watch to their offsite service centre, and the watch came back in a completely unacceptable state. As the watch was vintage and also had significant sentimental value to me, I was outraged when it was immediately clear that the staff did not take proper care in replacing the battery. The watch face inside the watch was bent, and the entire face actually shifts when i pull the crown to adjust the time...
The watch face was also scratched beyond repair. As I took great care of the watch I noticed these immediately. When I went back to the store to complain, the staff were rude and patronising and explained I did not know how watches work, and that watch faces always shift and move when you pull the crown...Managed to get hold of the manager who refunded the price of the watch battery and offered to send the watch back to their service centre, but after seeing how it was treated, there was no way I'd let them touch the watch again.
I never write reviews for places but have created a yelp account just for this. Please don't take your expensive/valuable watches here, they clearly do not handle them with care.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Celestine H.London, United Kingdom0117 Jan 2018
Terrible customer service / zero accountability for products that do not work.
I had two keys cut at Jubilee Link at a cost of £39 each. The keys did not work so I returned them and requested a refund. The shop refused to refund the cost stating that only the manager could refund. But the manager was not there and could not be contacted by phone. I called the "Head Office accounts & admin enquiries" and told someone will call me back in two hours to arrange a refund. I don't hold out a lot of hope but am prepared to fight to get a refund of almost £80 for two keys that do not work.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - June F.San Francisco, United States1620 Nov 2016
Generously stapled the heel of my boot as a temporary fix without charge. I offered to pay and they simply said please come back when you need repairs in the future. Customer service with a smile! Thank you!

Dreadful!! shocking customer service
Few weeks ago, I took a pair of high heeled shoes to this place as needed to fix the bow on top (simply glue it back on). team put it back on and I paid five pounds for the service.
Today I wear the assumed repaired shoes at the office and ...the bow immediately comes off again. Took them back to the shop who accepted to try again and told me to come back in an hour to collect.
Around an hour and a half later came back to store and:
- Shoe was NOT fixed
- salesman was EXTREMELY rude couldn't care less about the fact that I was basically "shoeless" in the office
- I politely said that I understand they have backlog but in that case he should have said to come back in 2/ 3 hours, the response I got was simply UNACCEPTABLE: "If I had said 2/3 hours, would have left your shoes in for repair??"
- At the end as I was confronting the salesman he simply ignored I was there and moved on to next customer
In summary, DO NOT USE THIS SHOP, there are many other option in canary wharf and elsewhere where you get good customer service, and repair that actually fixes the issueHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Duncan W.Hong Kong6130618914 Mar 2012First to Review
In the UK, getting your shoes shined in public feels a little wierd. First, there are limited locations where you can get your shoes shined. Second, you feel a bit of a donc sat there while a guy polishes your shoes up for you. However, if you get past this and you want your shoes to have a beautiful mirror shine, James Shoe Care is a good place to visit. There are a couple of locations in the Wharf, one located close to the Jubilee station and the other close to the DLR, either way you are covered. I like the DLR location as the chap who shines your shoes is a really nice guy and he does a really good job.

Really horrible treatment - lost my shoes and kept telling me "i picked them up". I came to pick up my husband's Church's shoes and the guys couldn't find them!!! He was so rude through, then told me "they were collected". I had to threaten him that i will call the police that they literally stole these shoes and he kept calling me "darling" in the most sexist and arrogant way. He treated me like a piece of trash, honestly. He told me his boss asked him to call women's "darlings". Canary Wharf security even got involved and the shoes magically appeared. He told me to complain all I want, he doesn't care and that his boss can watch CCTV cameras everywhere and see that he did everything the boss wants him to do. Horrible, stressful, I am still shaking. To think that I paid them 50 GBP for using their service is sickening to then be treated with such arrogant attitude and total disrespect.
