Harrods South Terminal

Pleasantly surprised to find this little Harrods shop at the South Terminal of London Gatwick Airport. Was really excited to see that they had a food hall. Well, it was nothing like the food hall at the main Harrods. No fresh food here. Disappointed that there was no dough-ssant for me to indulge in. :-(

There was some good news. Because of the good exchange rate, I was able to purchase a couple of gifts for my amazing wife!! Always great to make the wife happy!! ;-)

Seriously, this little Harrods is a terrific shop to check out before heading to your destination. Happy travels!!

Harrods is one of my all time favourite stores and I am glad that they have a little piece of it in Gatwick. Gatwick is the most popular of airports, for me at least, to travel from and having a little snippet of London before heading somewhere exotic! Although, weirdly enough when I go into Harrods at Gatwick, I want to go to London to the big store! I must do this again soon!

I travelled out of Gatwick South Terminal on Tuesday 10th December 2013 and visited the Harrods store while there. My friend brought some Michael Koors earrings and I saw a bracelet that I really liked and was interested in buying. Nothing was priced and the first sales assistant couldn't find the right tag that went with the item, 2 others came by the display cabinet, hoping they would be able to help, to be advised they were helping another customer. Went to cashier desk and 3 sales staff were now serving one customer and I was STILL waiting. Went to other cash desk where friend was paying and another sales member was there also, plus original staff member, and still no one was able to help.
Harrods this was 8.15 in the morning, how would you all cope when its busy!!
Not impressed with the way was treated by Harrods staff and will be relaying this on to friends as not even an apology was given by ANY of the staff.

I have also forwarded this onto Harrods store in London as its there reputation on the line!!
