Just like every other computer game shop at the moment, Gamestation is making a big deal about you being able to trade in your old games either for cash or store credit. When so many people are going to ebay to try and get cheap second hand games, it's natural that high street chains should want to get in on the game.
Gamestation is doing just that, offering a every new game on the market as well as having a really decent second hand section. Obviously it's nothing in comparison to Cex, which will always be the best place to get cheap games and dvds.
But this is a good little gaming shop, with helpful and knowledgable staff.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alfie B.Manchester, United Kingdom8968968222 Mar 2010
Hmm I always wonder how computer games shops still exist. With the expanding internet and online data world in which we live, they must have a limited lifespan.
People say the same for bookshops, but for me the bookshop survives because its pleasurable to browse, and because its much better to read off paper than it is to read off the screen. For this reason, e-books just wont work. At my university they tried to get a class to read the text on e-book, and everyone hated it.
In the computer game world though, it cannot be long before the CD is completely redundant, as it doesn't actually change the experience of the product.
As Sam says, this Gamestation is trying to combat the problem by accepting second-hand games as trade in for new stuff. To be honest though, they value your games so cheaply that you have to trade in many in order to raise funds for one.
And as CDs will be dead soon, this attempt is futile.
Gamestation, its nearly over!
Mwah ha ha ha ha ha!

The staff are friendly and know what there talking about when it comes to games.
the games are priced well and there is an option to buy pre owned games which is great on a budget.
you can trade in games and get credit to spend in store.
There are great offers on all the time on games consoles.
Sometimes there can be a bit of a que but that's only if the person in front is trading in loads of games.
Not alot of room to move when busy and best to leave prams outside.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (sithlo…)Bolton, United Kingdom768422 Sept 2008
