And I still get emails from the Fez.
Their themed nights are interesting. And their drinks, though pricey (in terms of pounds) are good enough to give you a lasting buzz...or more. The good thing about this place is they don't charge you for cover (well at least when I went) and dress codes aren't strict (I guess cuz they assume everyone in Europe has a good sense of style). Last I was here my friends and I got there early enough to get a booth and ordered ourselves drinks before we hit the dancefloor. But while there, I accidentally bumped into some lady smoking where then she told me to "WOTCH IT!" Also, there seemed to be more guys and girls. You know what that means (I'll let that simmer for a bit).
I also couldn't really enjoy their music, not because I didn't like it but moreso because I couldn't get used to it. But everyone around me seemed to enjoy it, what with it being stuff from the U.S. and other countries. The crowd there was very diverse too, especially both young and old. Mostly old.
Overall, if I was back in the area I would comeback just to party here one more time. I know there aren't that many clubs/ night spots in Cambridge but the Fez is a good club to check out if you're in the area.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Chris H.London, United Kingdom21812326 Jan 2010
This is an alright club, a bit on the small side and very pricey (and I'm used to London prices) but the music was good, the toilets were nice and the staff were suprisingly friendly. For the taller person this place is a little cramped but I'm used to that now but it can be a hit hairy after afew and you forget to duck. Also the coat check is a joke, there is no real queue and it's basically just a free for all to get your coat in or out ad this means it drops a star as a good coat check is the mark of a good club.
All in all it's not a bad night out, especially seeing as cambridge has little else to it's name.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (Ninawr…)Dublin, Republic of Ireland4582715 Nov 2007
The fez club is one of the trendiest nightclubs in Cambridge. It is most famous for its music mix and host of DJs. It is also a favorite destination for students because of its Ibiza like atmosphere on weekend nights, so the queue is endless and people are willing to wait. The perfect solution is to be an early bird or sign up to their guest list, after which you can get some VIP treatment.
They have a very stylish bar, the counter has polished shining surface and the bar is fully stocked with varities of drinks. I prefer the bar area as you can enjoy your drink while you watch other people dance.
The drinks are great and affordable; you can even get discounts for drinks on some of the nights. The atmosphere is well charged up for a fun night out and you can dance all through to late hours.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (saraht…)Cambridge, Canada24519 Nov 2008
A small 'indie' club in the centre of Cambridge, this is a popular venue for a night out. Monday night is the popular student night. Fez is very small and intimate, with a unique layout with many nooks and crannys, making it a good night out.
On the downside, it is poorly ventilated and so tends to get rather hot later in the evening, with everyone sweating a lot - which can be rather gross when it is very busy. Also, the drinks are a lot more expensive than most other clubs in Cambridge, which means that a night in Fez ends up considerably more expensive than one spent at a alternative club.
On the plus side, it is handily located near various other bars, and can be a very good end to a fun night out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marisa F.Fort Lauderdale, United States3342592353 Nov 2011
Hmmm......is what I think, when I think of the Fez.
This is a hard to find club in the middle University of Cambridge in the heart of downtown Cambridge. Driving is difficult and parking is even more difficult, you have to get creative and hope you don't get a ticket.
I visited Fez for Halloween and for a going away party, we got VIP and ordered bottles. The bottles of liquor that came to the VIP table were the cheapest of the cheap crappie liquor you could find, I have never seen bottles of this nature ever being served at a club before, you usually have Greg Goose, Kettle One, Absolute, even cheap champagne could top the crappie liquor Fez provided us with. Never again will I pay for VIP and get the crappiest liquor you could buy at a local drug store in the states that comes in the cheap plastic bottles, except these were cheap glass bottles. There was also not enough cups and the bar maids never came back to refill ice, mixers or replace used cups with unused cups, so when we got there no clean glasses were available. So I got creative and found 1/2 drank pitcher of cranberry juice and poured 1/2 a bottle of crappie liquor in it and that is what I partied with for the evening, creative right?
The music was very much OK! It was electronic, at least something with a beat I could drunkenly dance to, but it was comparable to relaxed lounge atmosphere generic electronica, nothing too special, a bit of a downer, but hey I can't complain, it has a beat.
The dance floor was stuffy, lots of sweaty people, so cramped I could barely walked and would trip easily with trying to navigate through feet upon feet and one time I toppled over, not fun.
Bar service was attentive, being a pretty girl has it's perks when dealing with a male bartender, you get a speedy delivered drink and I was happy that water only costs £1.50.
Would I go there again? Hmm...probably not. Rather save my pennies and party in London.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (Gadget…)Peterborough, United Kingdom33948 Aug 2010
I love this place. I've been mid-week and Friday night and, whatever genre is on, the DJ is usually good. It's been a while but I just about remember the great cocktails and bar staff! Trendy but comfortable.

i've been waiting for years to write this post! 2.5 years ago, the bouncer let in my hot ginger friend but not me because i only had a non-government-issued isic card. i was well over 18, thank you very much. i angrily (drunkenly) went to my room and tried to yelp about it, but of course yelp was not in the UK 2.5 years ago. so i ate my lyon bar, drunk-texted for a bit, and went to sleep.
i ended up having some fun nights at the fez over the next couple of months, though. the coat check people lost my friend's umbrella. but it was fun! nothing like stumbling home in the rain, pressing up against the window to oggle the fashion at karen millen, and eating at trailer of life after a night at the fezHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Qype User (social…)Royston, United Kingdom8101119 Nov 2008
one of the better clubs in cambridge. have been several times but not too recently. a funky little place designed like a turkish harem, used to be similar to the now defunt poo na na's on jesus lane, owned by the same company i believe. still a pretty decent club to come to if you stuck for choice after closing time at b bar.
