In July, I took my female cat to the clinic for a spaying procedure. I had previously taken my male cat there and had a great experience, so I expected the same this time. However, before the surgery, the doctor handled my cat poorly, making her fearful and jumpy. He almost slammed the cage door onto her paw and mishandled her. During the surgery, concerns arose when they found kittens inside her. The doctor called and asked if they should proceed; we declined. When I picked her up later, the staff informed me about the situation and mentioned that an "x-ray" had shown 5 kittens, with one being stillborn.

Upon seeing her shaved belly after the surgery, it was clear her nipples were enlarged, indicating potential pregnancy. Shouldn't they have taken steps to confirm her pregnancy before surgery? It seemed like they were more interested in making money. My cat suffered, and I'm upset and feel guilty about what happened. Last night, she gave birth to 3 kittens, with the first one born around midnight and the other two a couple of hours later. Luna and her kittens seem fine now.

It's currently 9:16 am, and it's been 6 hours without any more kittens appearing. When I called the clinic, the person on the phone stuttered and told me there was no x-ray done. They noticed 4 kittens in Luna's belly, not 5. I'm furious and disappointed. When I asked if I should bring her in for help, the clinic worker wasn't helpful and gave me a list of ERs to call. I tried each one, but none could take us in. I'm extremely upset with this situation and would only recommend this place with female doctors, not the male doctor who mishandled my cat. I've been awake for 24 hours, and I'm feeling overwhelmed and upset.

Had my dog in to have his nails trimmed on Sept . 7 which I have been doing for almost 2 years now . When he was brought back out it was mentioned they cut into the quick which at that time didn't concern me and his front nails only had the tips taken off so I asked to please do a proper job and was told they have some new employees . After I got home I checked and became very upset to see what had been done to his back nail where they really cut way into the quick .So next day phoned in to complain and mentioned that I should not be charged which the receptionist said she will talk to the doctor/owner . Was later told the would give me a refund but I asked that it be put to my next appointment but was informed they don't want me to come back . What did I do wrong ? I asked for an explanation but never got one . I"m banned for what reason ? Very poor business attitude towards customers . You would think they would want to know that the employee should not be trimming nails and hurting the animal . IF YOU COMPLAIN YOU WILL BE BANNED WITH OUT ANY EXPLANATION

It's been a very long time since I've had to have a pet spayed (last several cats were purebreads and came to us already neutered). Anyways, I originally booked through my regular vet clinic and was quoted between $500-$600 (I don't recall the exact number). Decided to do some research, not specifically related to a cheaper fee but just figured that who better to do the surgery than a spay clinic when they do these surgeries all day/every day and are likely to be much more experienced at them. I read the reviews and was pleasantly surprised, especially since I'm located on the north side, this location is excellent for me. I called in to book, there was a several week wait but I was able to pre-book. Left my $50 booking deposit which I was a little leary of but everything worked out great. Bella's (cat) spay went perfectly well. Her incisions were minimal and neat and tidy. She was back to her self the very next morning and didn't seem bothered by her surgery at all. We paid $325 in total which included her pre-surgery blood work (optional), IV fluids during surgery (optional but suggested), pain meds during surgery plus after surgery pain meds (2 days worth, again optional but recommended). I opted out of getting the cone. We decided to buy one at Pet Smart which we will now return as it wasn't needed as Bella was really good about licking (to be honest, they did such a great job with the surgery, there were no exposed stitches or anything for her to chew or pull on anyways).

All in all, we're extremely impressed with the surgery, how well Bella has done. We did keep her in our master bedroom for 1 week post op to reduce her movements but she was hopping up on our bed and night table and getting around just fine on the morning of day 2. You'd never know she had a major surgery other than for a few hours after the surgery she was pretty wobbly and groggy.

We saved a nice chunk of money, but most importantly, she got great care and did so much better than I remember my last female cat doing (incision was massive in that day and age).

Really pleased with this clinic, they called to give us an update on the day of her surgery, we picked her up earlier than expected, we even spoke with the Vet because we called with a few questions about her blood work, the vet answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease that all was good with her bloodwork. Received a follow up call 3 days post-op to check on how Bella was doing and how her incision looked.

I highly recommend this clinic. They were great to deal with every step of the way and the prices were much more reasonable than our regular vet clinics price.

Also, FYI Bella was approx. 7 months old at the time of her spay surgery, if this helps anyone else. It was suggested (by our regular vet clinic) that we do it before the springtime when cat's typically go into heat, but not earlier than 6 months of age.

Not a fun place to bring your fur baby. Support staff are excellent and love their work. However the doctor has no bedside skills and English is not his first language. My cat zsa zsa had a vasectomy and ear flush. He's only six months old. He was in the clinic all day. When I picked him up he was so lethargic I cried taking him home. Great price quoted on the phone. Bring a large wallet when you take fur baby home.

      He just had a vasectomy

Good service . Good people . Don't know why they sell hills science. There's plenty of brands that don't have 100s of recalls . And Canadian ones.

Great clinic. The veterinarians are knowledgeable, experienced and do only what is best for your pet. We've taken a dog and three cats to this clinic for different reasons (spaying, shots, checkups, etc) and have never been anything other than extremely grateful for and impressed with the care our animals received. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Update: we have moved to a different city and they were kind enough to go through a lot of trouble to find us a vet recommendation. I haven't had the chance to meet the recommended vet yet, so called this location to ask a question about my pet's health. One of the veterinarians took the time to speak with me for like 10 minutes and answer all of my questions. I am so grateful. I can't rave enough about these guys. Five more stars.

My little one was due for her annual shots and this place was recommended to me by a few satisfied customers. It was just a few blocks from my home and after some research I decided to check it out!

When I called to book my appointment I was saddened to learn that they only take regular visits a couple times a week. So it was just over a week before we could get in to see the vet.

The young lady on the phone asked me a bunch of questions and happily booked us in. She gave me a price quote for the visit and the shots that were required and confirmed the appointment.

Fast forward a week or so...

Upon arrival we were greeted and the receptionist knew right away who we were! She immediately picked my little one up and gave her some love! While of course made my girl feel comfortable and at ease it gave me the reassurance! We were told that it would just be a few moments and that we were next.

We only waited about 5 minutes and in we went!

Belle immediately introduced her self with hops and kisses for everyone! And the vet rewarded her with some treats!

At no point did I feel rushed or that I was just another dog "owner". The vet was gentle and soft spoken and even complimented us on how healthy and well behaved Belle is!

Belle received her vaccines and off with the help of the nurse everything went well and my wee one never seemed to be traumatized or scared.

Our total costs were no more than we were quoted and we were on our way in under 30 mins.

I love this clinic and the staff here are amazing!

      Part Two...

I recently had my dog eat something she shouldn't have and was extremely worried. After phoning an emergency clinic and receiving questionable service I decided to call these guys!

I was obviously very scared and upset and this clinic made me feel at ease.

They provided me with step my step care and told me what to look out for.

I cannot praise these guys enough!

After experiencing Rocket Baby's heat cycle a couple times, the whole house dreaded that time of the month. After looking around and reading reviews for a few places and speaking to a few of them, we decided to have her spay procedure done here. Not only was it cheaper than most other places, they were able to fit us in within a couple of days. They even called to confirm the day before.

My roommate dropped her off in the morning, and I received a call regarding what I wanted to have included. I picked a booster for all of her vaccines, a deworming dose, a microchip and painkillers for the impending pain that I knew she was about to experience. The bill was around $300.

They gave me a call after she had woken up to let me know there had been no complications (which was good to hear, because she's the baby of the house and I had been worried) and made sure all of my questions were answered.

When she got home, the incision was clean and done well (at least to the untrained eye). I hadn't picked up a cone because I wasn't totally sure that she would lick her stitches (Pro-tip, always get the cone, then you're prepared and don't have to fashion one out of an old milk carton till the vets are open again because she didn't start licking till 9 PM, and you'll have one for when you're not around and can't make sure that they aren't licking. Not only that, but it's hilarious), but they let me know I could go in and pick one up whenever I needed one. They also sent my roommate back with everything I would need and helpful instructions on paper on how to care for her afterwards.

On Monday, three days after her surgery, they gave me a call to check on Rocket and make sure she was doing okay. At all points of contact the staff were extremely polite and understanding and made me feel good about my choice.

I only wish that they had given me painkillers to last more than 2 days, because on day three she was looking a little unhappy. But then again, maybe it was because she wasn't stoned on painkillers anymore.

All in all, she's doing wonderful and I look forward to her full recovery and the regrowth of her stomach fur (have you ever felt a cat's bare stomach? It's weird).

After getting a quote of over $500 to neuter our 18 pound French Bulldog from our vet, my friend recommended that I check out the Spay & Neuter clinic.

Price wise - there really was no comparison. Neuter fee was $115 (included the IV during the surgery, which we paid extra for), another $10 for a collar (which we never ended up using because Frankie could not reach his incision) and $15 for pain meds. With tax, it all came to less than $150.

The staff were so friendly - I called three or four times during the day to check up on my little guy, and they were very reassuring.

We had no problems or complications after his surgery - Frankie didn't even realize that he got neutered (must have been the meds)

I highly recommend coming here, we had a great experience.

      First to Review

I had my cat neutered here by Dr. Channa at the end of July. I was able to get an appointment quickly when I called (just two days later), and the woman I spoke to explained the pre-op restrictions very well.

The clinic looked clean and modern, with a sparsely furnished front reception and small intake/evaluation room where my cat and I saw the doctor. The woman at the front desk was friendly and funny as she welcomed us and led us in.

The doctor himself was to-the-point, but friendly enough. He was gentle with my skittish cat, and explained things well. He laid out numerous options for me and helped me decide what was best for us, rather than what was the most profitable for the clinic.

At the time, this clinic offered a discount on an animal's first vaccinations when you had him/her neutered/spayed. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it likely is. The neuter itself was relatively inexpensive ($75 for the neuter, and under $15 for the pain meds after), especially compared to what I was quoted by numerous vet clinics. They offer the option of a microchip or tattoo, and I paid the additional $35 for a microchip. They even clipped my cats claws, front and back, for me at no extra charge.

The doctor called me after the procedure to tell me how it went, that my cat was doing well, and when I could pick him up. The clinic also called a couple of days after the surgery to check in on him.

My cat had no infection, was quite comfortable thanks to the pain medication they sent home with us (Metacam), and is a much calmer little boy now. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a more affordable spay/neuter option.
