Downtown

A very nice outside mall, complete with a fancy business complex and winding koi ponds filled with fish; it's idyllic and peaceful. They have a few recognizable brands like Herring, Armadillo and plenty of food options, both fast food in the food court (Burger King, McDonalds, Fry's, Bob's) and sit down restaurants (Galli Grill, Outback Steakhouse).
It was a great venue for the Barra Downtown Shopping Beer Festival, outside with good weather (sunny with a breeze and not too hot) with adequate benches to sit and talk with friends. They have a nice open space with wide walkways and a new apartment complex soon to be built.
It is very convenient to the bus stop, which many go back and forth between Zona Sul and Barra.
I also really like the solar powered phone recharging stations. I haven't seen those before but thought the concept was good. I don't know if people actually use them since they looked a little rusty. They needed to have stools to sit down with your phone. Also if you didn't bring your own cable, I'm not sure who you could connect. Good idea, not sure how practical.
