I went here today for a late breakfast and was very surprised at how nice this little place is. It looks a little like a regular greasy spoon from the outside but it had really good quality food. I had a jacket potato with beans and cheese for £2.90 which was pretty substantial, and a huge cup of tea for 90p.
You go up and order at the counter then they bring it over to you shortly after. it is all really fresh, you can see the lady prepare your food in front of you. Also, if you're a student you get 10% off the bill which is amazing value considering it isn't exactly bank breaking to start off with. I wish I lived in the east end because this would definitely be my favourite local eatery if I did.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ioannis T.London, United Kingdom021 July 2012
woke up around 7.45am and was wondering where i could indulge a warm greasy spoon breakfast with an high level of hygiene. My friend suddenly suggested a place called "arena cafe", which sounded kind of suspicious from the name so i went and checked it out. From the outside it seems like an ordinary morning breakfast cafe but as soon as you enter the 2 window like doors you can inhale the fresh air of juice and other aromatics inside. This place is brilliant, prices kind of pricy but everything has been prepared fresh on the spot including the pastries and desserts. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a quick healthy and amazing bite which is affordable and staff friendly.
