This restaurant is in need of sprucing up and revitalising. The food was good but came out in drips and drabs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The toilets were in a bad way and in need of cleaning. A disappointing lunch.

Brandy Creek winery immediately gives off that family-run, friendly vibe. The staff are warm and welcoming and View Cafe is filled with large groups enjoying a meal and wine tastings. It's the kind of place you would feel comfortable bringing your grandparents and extended family for a big luncheon.
The view from the cafe is lovely and the outdoor area is a great setup.
The paella feast is impressive. Staff busily prepare six enormous dishes, overflowing with fresh ingredients and meat. They offer a vegetarian option, however if the idea of being faced with 15kgs of Pork Belly makes you squeemish then maybe this isn't the place for you! Our group of meat lovers could hardly take our eyes off the dishes, breaking only to hear owner Rick take us through the wines we were tasting.
The food isn't life changing, but it's tasty and great fun. Apparently they're looking at adding a spa and resort to the property, I'd say it will definitely be worth another visit.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Toby N.Fairfield Victoria38361416 Jan 2012
I've visited Brandy Creek a number of times and it's reliably fantastic. Nothing like nibbling on tapas and enjoying great wines while enjoying the spectacular view. In nice weather the patio doors are thrown wide open and a cool breeze flows through.
The menu changes from time to time but generally features about twenty different tapas options. A good way to go is to just order a half-dozen dishes and see what you like; food tends to come out pretty quick so if you want more later you won't have to wait long.
As far as wines, try the chardonnay or tempranillo.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Irene C.Melbourne Victoria2918224410 Oct 2011First to Review
I came here for their special Anzac day luncheon, and boy did it create a lasting impression!
It was a paella fest, you enter the building and are greeted by 5 huge paella woks and a bunch of chefs stirring and mixing away. We are shown to our seats and our set entrée arrives promptly. It's an antipasto platter with some meatball type things that were delicious. After a little while, the host stands and announces to the room that lunch is served and organizes tables to go up in waves (to avoid a mad rush). Personally I was worried that there wouldn't be enough for everyone in the room (I was wrong, there were plenty of left overs).
When it was our turn to go up I grabbed a plated and piled it up with every type of paella they had to offer.
It was amazing, it was tasty, it was fun and it was memorable. Their food was so good that I was extremely upset with myself for wearing a tight dress, if only the place allowed for stretchy tracksuit pants.
I cannot wait to go back here and eat again, in fact I might go check out their website right now.
The actual place itself is not much worth mentioning (in comparison to the nearby wineries), the building was plain and shack like, the bathroom was outdoors and the view was not spectacular either, but the paella was so good I wouldn't care if it were in a dirt hole. Worth it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Neil H.Melbourne Victoria03042 Apr 2015Updated review
I thought so. I didn't click that this place under new management, the food was ok, but has lost its zing! .....BEAWRE RICK HAS GONE, and so has the pazazzz. Great spot now mundane.

the tapas is just the best with heaps of different plates, i have about 5 that always end up on the table...the service is generally quick and the plates keep coming at the required intervals;
the paella is also worth the drive; make sure you go here hungry!
their wine are not to shabby either; i'm a fan. and sitting outside looking at the view into the hills is just brilliant
